What You’ll Do!?
The Fontainhas Heritage Walk with Local Goan Delicacies: We shall meet at Tobacco Square which was one of the main trading area in Panaji during Portuguese era. You will Experience the Historic importance of the The Casa De Moeda (Mint House) and the ward of Sao Tome. From there we shall head to the Chapel Of Saint Sebastian and explain you the Hindu dominated ward of Mala concept which was one upon a time a conservation zone long time ago. At Fontainhas we will cover you the great history behind the colorful houses and the great importance of the Spring and go towards the Maruti temple on the hill. In between we shall also be Stopping for a Quick Goan Paav Bhaaji with a Cup of Chai. (Veg Snack with a cup of Tea) At the end our last stop shall be at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church which is the most important monument at Panaji, Goa The walk shall be for 2-3kms.

The Splash Of Various Colors On The Facades Of The Houses There Adds Charm To The Heritage Precinct. The Fontainhas Heritage Walk Starts From Tobacco Square, The Casa De Moeda (Mint House), Through The Ward Of Sao Tome, Chapel Of Saint Sebastian, Through The Hindu Dominated Ward Of Mala Where We Cover The Spring , Maruti Temple On The Hill , The Bishops Palace in Althino and Culminating At The At Our Lady Of Immaculate Conception.

We’ll Walk Nearly 2-3 Km. Please Wear Comfortable Walking Shoes. Shorts & Sleeveless Clothing Not Allowed. Videos and Voice Recording is Not Allowed. Photography Is Allowed.
